2018-19 Season
Played in nine games, averaging 1.9 points, 0.3 rebounds and 4.7 minutes per game…shot 40% (4-10) from the 3-point line and a perfect 5-for-5 from the free throw line…season-high five points came in the regular season finale against Montana…also scored three points against Southern Utah, Montana, Westcliff and Holy Names…finished his two-year Hornet career shooting 90% (27-30) from the free throw line.
2017-18 Season
Played in 31 games, including nine starts, in his first season with the Hornets…started the first five games, and the last four games of the season…averaged 4.7 points, 1.4 rebounds and 16.9 minutes per game…shot 34% (47-140) from the field, 28% (29-103) from the 3-point line and 88% (22-25) from the free throw line…played at least 25 minutes each of the last four games of the year, including 25 minutes in the Hornets’ game against Portland State in the first round of the Big Sky Tournament…had 12 points, three rebounds and two assists in that game…scored in double figures three times, including twice during the final five games of the season…career high of 14 points came at Northern Arizona when he buried four 3-pointers.
Prior to Sacramento State
Played two years at Western Texas College in Snyder, Texas, at both guard spots…during his two seasons with the team, the Westerners combined for a 40-22 overall record and 20-12 conference mark…finished his sophomore season with averages of 6.6 points, 1.4 assists, 0.5 steals and 14.6 minutes per game while shooting .486 (67-138) from the field, .392 (31-79) from the 3-point line and .833 (20-24) from the free throw line…during his sophomore year, the Westerners went 22-10 overall, 12-4 in league and advanced to the NJCAA Region 5 Tournament for just the third time since 1985…played in a system where nobody on the team played more than 21 minutes per game…despite attempting more than 10 shots from the field just twice all season, Hicks scored in double figures on eight occasions…as a freshman in 2015-16, he played in 28 games, posting averages of 3.8 points, 1.1 assists and 7.1 minutes per game…that team finished with an 18-12 overall record and 8-8 conference mark.
High School
A 2015 graduate of Warren Easton High School in New Orleans…played on the varsity team all four years…a two-time team captain and three-time all-district selection (first team as a junior and senior; second team as a sophomore)…as a senior, he was named honorable mention all-state, the District 9-4A Player of the Year, and was selected to a pair of All-Star teams after averaging 23.6 points and 7.1 assists per game while shooting .542 from the field and .450 from the 3-point line…the 23.6 ppg average was the top mark in the area…was the team’s starting point guard as a senior and the starting shooting guard as a junior…during his final two seasons, he combined to average 18.4 points per game.

Parents are Carla and Kevin Sr…a communication studies who will graduate in May of 2019.
