2013-14 Season
Played in all 30 games, and started one time…the team’s primary sixth man, the athletic Salley led the Hornets in field goal percentage (.622), charges drawn (17) and dunks (21)…the charges drawn were seven more than any other Hornet…converted on 74 of his 119 field goal attempts…averaged 6.4 points, 3.6 rebounds and 15.7 minutes per game…shot .657 (44-67) from the free throw line…scored in double figures six times, including 11 points against Idaho State, UC Davis and UC Santa Cruz…had a season-best 10 rebounds in the regular season finale against Montana State, and added eight points and nine rebounds in the Big Sky Tournament quarterfinal game…shot .611 from the field as a junior and .622 as a senior…the .622 field goal percentage is the new program single-season record (min. 40 field goals made)…finished his career with a .619 (96-155) field goal percentage, which is the program record for a minimum of 75 field goal makes.

2012-13 Season

Appeared in 26 games, including two starts…after averaging just 0.5 points, 0.7 rebounds and 5.6 minutes through his first 22 games, Salley averaged 9.8 points and 4.8 rebounds while shooting .708 (17-24) from the field over the team’s final four games of the season…played 11 minutes or less in 22 of his first 23 games before averaging 22.7 minutes during the final three games of the year…combined for 11 points in 22 games before combining for 39 points over the final four games…had season highs in points (16) and rebounds (10) while shooting 8-of-11 from the field in the Hornets’ 53-52 home win over Idaho State…followed that effort with 10 points and three rebounds at Montana…finished the season with six points and four rebounds in a season-best 27 minutes in the season finale at Montana State…finished the year averaging 1.9 points, 1.3 rebounds and 7.7 minutes per game while shooting a team-high .611 (22-36) from the field…after missing his first seven field goal attempts of the season, he went 22-of-29 (.759) from the floor the remainder of the year.

Prior to Sacramento State
Played two years of basketball (2010-12) at Santa Rosa Junior College in California…as a sophomore, he was one of three players to appear in all 32 games for a Santa Rosa squad that went 26-6 overall, won the Big 8 Conference championship with a 14-1 mark, and finished the season ranked second in the RPI among all California junior colleges…on a team that mostly relied on outside shooting (10.5 three-pointers made per game), Salley averaged 4.9 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.1 blocked shots while shooting 55.0 percent (60-109) from the field…missed most of his freshman season (2010-11) with a knee injury.

High School
A 2010 graduate of La Verne Lutheran High School…played four years at forward for the basketball powerhouse school…was an all-state selection his junior season (2008-09) after averaging 16.5 points, 11.0 rebounds, 1.9 blocked shots and 1.4 steals per game while shooting 62.0 percent (202-326) from the field…was named first team all-Arrowhead League during both his sophomore and junior years…did not play his senior year because of a knee injury…during his sophomore year, Salley averaged 10.8 points, 10.7 rebounds, 3.7 blocked shots and 1.4 steals per game while shooting 47.2 percent from the field…over his final three seasons at La Verne Lutheran, the Trojans combined for an 81-29 overall record and a perfect 32-0 conference mark.

Personal
A sociology major who will graduate in the fall of 2014…parents are Keenan and Shelley…originally committed to play for the Big Sky Conference’s Montana State in 2010.
