2017-18 Season
Played in the first 25 games of the season, starting 22 times over that span…suffered a leg injury during the game at Montana on Feb. 10, and missed the final seven games of the season with the injury…had started 19 straight games prior to missing the last month of the year…averaged 5.6 points, 1.8 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 0.7 steals and 23.8 minutes per game…shot 41% (55-133) from the field, 35% (22-63) from the 3-point line and 82% (9-11) from the free throw line…scored in double figures four times, including a career-high 19 points vs. Antelope Valley…had 16 points at Boise State…drew eight charges, third most on the team…other double figure scoring efforts included 14 points at Eastern Washington and 11 points vs. Idaho…had six points and career highs in both rebounds (7) and assists (8) in a win over Cal State Northridge.
2016-17 Season
Played in each of the first 13 games of the season, but did not play again…missed the final 13 games of the year with a knee injury…finished with averages of 2.5 points, 0.7 rebounds, 0.6 assists and 12.2 minutes per game…shot .250 (13-52) from the field and .200 (7-35) from the 3-point line…season-high eight points came at South Dakota…also had five points at Colorado, Nebraska, San Francisco and Denver.
2015-16 Season
One of five players to appear in all 31 games…each of those 31 games came off the bench as he served as the Hornets’ sixth man a good portion of the season…finished his true freshman campaign with averages of 6.2 points, 1.3 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 0.5 steals and 17.1 minutes per game…shot .433 (71-164) from the field and .337 (29-86) from the 3-point line…scored in double figures eight times, including a season-high 14 points against both Seattle and Eastern Washington…buried a season-best three 3-pointers in three different games…connected on multiple 3-pointers in nine different games…scored 11 points in the Hornets’ Big Sky Tournament quarterfinal game against Montana…a Big Sky All-Academic selection.
High School
A 2015 graduate of Modesto Christian High School in Modesto, Calif…played three years of varsity basketball, including his junior and senior seasons at Modesto Christian, and his sophomore year at Union High School in Vancouver, Wash…was part of a Modesto Christian team that had a 2015 semifinal appearance in the state championship, two CIF Sac Joaquin Section championships, two league titles, a 54-13 combined overall record and 26-0 in league play…a two-time all-league selection, he was named to the first team as a senior and honorable mention as a junior…a team co-captain as a senior, he averaged 10.4 points, 2.1 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 0.8 steals per game while shooting .437 (117-268) from the field, including 42 made 3-pointers in 33 games…was part of a league championship team all three years of his high school career, including a 16-8 overall record, a 9-1 league mark and a 4A Greater St. Helens District championship his sophomore year at Union High School…moved to the United States prior to his sophomore year of high school…transferred to Modesto Christian as he could stay just one year as an exchange student at Union High School…due to transfer rules in California, Wu sat out Modesto Christian’s first 15 games of his junior year before being thrust into the starting lineup at shooting guard…as a junior, he averaged 9.4 points, 3.0 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game while shooting .501 from the floor and .400 from the 3-point line…at Union High School in 2012-13, Wu served as the team’s sixth man while averaging 8.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 1.9 steals per game.
Personal
Parents are Chao-Fu Wu and Shu-Lin Chen…a communication studies major…is the first men's basketball player from Taiwan to receive a Div. I athletic scholarship.
