2022-23 Season
• A third team all-Big Sky Conference selection.
• One of two Hornets to start all 32 games.
• Averaged 12.9 points, 9.3 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 0.9 blocks and 28.7 minutes per game.
• Shot 54% (172-318) from the field, and 71% (68-96) from the free throw line.
• The rebounding average was the 29th best mark in the country.
• Set the Sacramento State Div. I-era record with 10 double-doubles.
• Team-high 23 games scoring in double figures, and 13 with double digits in rebounds.
• Scored in double figures in 11 of the final 12 games of the season.
• Nearly became the first Hornet to average a double-double since 1998.
• Posted seven games with at least 14 rebounds. That included four games that ranked in the Hornets’ top 10 Div. I single-game rebounding marks.
• Had 27 points and a career-high 17 rebounds in a win at Idaho.
• Among Big Sky leaders, he ranked second in rebounding, field goal percentage, double-figure rebound games and offensive rebounds (2.8 per game), third in double-doubles, and sixth in blocks.
• Finished collegiate career with 1,265 points, the second most scored at the Div. I level by a New Zealand-born player.
• Became just the fourth Kiwi to score 1,000 points at the Div. I level.
• Scored 412 points with the Hornets and 853 points at UC Riverside.
• A Big Skly All-Academic selection.
Prior to Sacramento State
• Spent four seasons at UC Riverside (2018-22); redshirted during the 2020-21 season.
• Becomes the tallest player in Sacramento State program history.
• Helped the Highlanders to overall records above the .500 mark three straight years, the first time that happened in UCR program history. That included a 16-12 overall record and 9-6 Big West Conference mark in 2021-22.
• A three-year starter, McRae played his first two seasons at UC Riverside for David Patrick in 2018-19 and 2019-20.
• Raised his points, rebounding and minutes per game averages during each of his three active years.
• In 2021-22, as the Highlanders’ team captain, he played in all 28 games (27 starts) while averaging 10.8 points, 7.9 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 30.4 minutes per game. Shot 54% from the field, and finished fourth in the Big West Conference in rebounding.
• Had eight double-doubles in 2021-22, and posted double figures in points in eight of the final 10 games. Also registered double figures in rebounds in four of his final six games. Overall, he scored 10+ points on 16 occasions, and had 10+ rebounds 12 times.
• Over his final seven games, he averaged 15.0 points and 8.9 rebounds per game on 59% (45-76) shooting. That included a career-high 32 points to go along with 11 rebounds vs. UC Santa Barbara.
• During his sophomore season (2019-20), he averaged 9.6 points, 6.2 rebounds and 23.8 minutes while starting in 23 of the 32 games he appeared.
• That sophomore season saw McRae register 11 points and 12 rebounds in 30 minutes against the Hornets at the Nest on Nov. 15, 2019.
• As a freshman in 2018-19, he started 17 of 32 games while averaging 7.6 points, 4.8 rebounds and 18.8 minutes.
• Shot better than 53% from the field in all three active seasons.

• Played for Palmerston North Boys High School in New Zealand from 2014-18.

Personal
• Son of Ros and Peter McRae…graduated from UC Riverside with a sociology degree…working on a master’s degree at Sacramento State.
