Biography

2025-26 Season
• Started all 21 games in which he appeared
• Missed 10 games with injury, including the final eight of the season
• Hornets’ second leading scorer overall (17.1 ppg) and team leader in conference play (20.1 ppg)
• The 20.1 ppg average in conference play was third best in the Big Sky
• Overall averages were 17.1 points, 3.0 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 1.2 steals and 35.1 minutes per game
• Averaged 7.3 trips to the free throw line per game, shooting 83% (127-of-153)
• His 4.5 assists were fourth best in the Big Sky
• Scored in double figures in 17 of his 21 games, including seven games with at least 20 points, and two with at least 30
• Had a season-high 34 points at Idaho State, tied for the seventh best single-game mark in Sacramento State’s Div. I era (1991-pres)
• Also had 30 points (10-16 FG, 4-7 3FG, 6-8 FT) vs. UC Santa Barbara
• In his final game of the season, he had 26 points against eventual Big Sky regular season champion Portland State, and was 16-for-18 from the free throw line
• The 16 free throws made in that game were second most in the Hornet Div. I era
• Had a three-game stretch (all road games vs Big Sky opponents) from Jan. 1-10 where he averaged 29.6 ppg
• Made at least four free throws in 16 of his final 19 games
• His 17.1 ppg scoring average is the eighth best single-season average in Sacramento State’s Div. I era

Prior to Sacramento State
• Played the 2024-25 season at UCF of the Big 12 Conference, after redshirting with Memphis (American Athletic Conference) during the 2023-24 season
• At UCF, he played in 18 games (five starts). Missed 19 games due to injury
• Averaged 5.1 points and 1.9 rebounds for the Knights
• Scored a season-high 14 points twice - vs. Iowa State, and at Oklahoma State. Also scored in double figures vs. TCU
• Grabbed a season-high seven rebounds at Oklahoma State, and vs. Kansas State
• Did not see any game action at Memphis in 2023-24, earning a redshirt

High School
• A 2023 graduate of San Ysidro High School in San Diego
• A four-star recruit out of high school, he was ranked as the No. 19 overall player in the nation by 247Sports in the class of 2023
• Also in the class of 2023, he was named the No. 4 combo guard in the country by On3 Consensus - the average ranking from all four major recruiting media companies
• Named the 2019-20 MaxPreps national freshman of the year and after averaging 29.9 points, 6.7 rebounds, 4.9 assists and 1.6 steals while leading San Ysidro High School to the CIF-San Diego Section title.
• Scored a San Diego Section single-game record 77 points with nine 3-pointers as a freshman in a 116-52 win over Kearny High School
• Played for San Ysidro HS during both his freshman and senior seasons
• Averaged 23.8 points, 9.2 assists and 3.2 rebounds during his senior season
• Spent his sophomore season at Lake Norman Christian Academy in Davidson, N.C.
• As a junior, he played at Vertical Academy in Charlotte where he was rated the No. 1 junior in North Carolina
• That season at Vertical Academy, he averaged 24.2 points, 7.1 rebounds and 6.0 assists while playing in showcase tournaments across the country

Personal
• His mother, Charisse, was a softball player at Kearny High School before going to Hampton University to play at the collegiate level
• Father, Mahlon, was a basketball player at Sweetwater High School
• A social media star, Williams has over three million followers on Instagram
• An ethnic studies major
• Registered a 4.0 GPA during the fall semester at Sacramento State, and now has a 3.8 overall GPA during his college career
