Morris served as the assistant strength and conditioning coach and sports science coordinator for Colorado State football from 2020-21. In that position, he developed and implemented annual training cycles for skill players as well as speed and conditioning sessions. Morris was also tasked with collecting and analyzing the GPS data from Catapult and Kinexon and then creating strategies for practice and training sessions. Under his guidance, his student-athletes saw a 26 percent gain in power production.

In 2019-20, Morris was head strength and conditioning coach at Missouri Southern State. With the Lions, he developed the program for speed and conditioning sessions, led pre-practice warmups and was responsible for department’s budget. He worked in conjunction with the athletic training staff to create return-to-play protocols which resulted in a 35 percent decrease in injuries suffered.

Morris served as a strength and conditioning intern at Texas during the 2018 season. That season, he worked directly with the offensive and defensive lines, defensive backs and wide receivers for a team which won the Sugar Bowl. The two seasons before that, he was a graduate assistant at Midwestern State where he served as the strength and conditioning coach for men’s soccer, softball and men’s basketball as well as assisting with football.

Morris graduated from South Alabama in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in exercise science and added a master’s in exercise physiology from Midwestern State in 2018. He also holds certification from the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCA) and National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).

He and his wife, Mallory, have one daughter, Charlotte, who was born in 2022.
