Keyshawn Colmon was hired as the Sacramento State wide receivers coach in February 2024.

In his first season with the team, Colmon had three receivers recorded at least 600 receiving yards, becoming just the third trio in school history to achieve the feat. Jared Gipson was named second team all-Big Sky after catching 56 passes for a team-high 797 yards and nine touchdowns. Anderson Grover led the Hornets with 59 receptions for 782 yards and seven scores while redshirt freshman Danny Scudero was named an FCS Freshman All-American with 53 grabs for 667 yards and five TDs. The three combined for seven 100-yard games during the season.
