Justin Houlihan joined the Sacramento State in the spring of 2023. Houlihan currently assists the offensive staff.
Houliahn came to the Hornets prior to the 2020 season. He appeared in 16 games during his career as a linebacker and on special teams. He earned Big Sky all-academic honors in 2022 and finished that season with 11 total tackles, including six solos. He also forced a fumble and had a pass breakup during the year.
Prior to coming to Sacramento State, he played two seasons at American River JC where he was coached by former Hornet All-American Jon Osterhout. With the Beavers, he was credited with 72 total tackles during his sophomore season.
Houlihan was a three-year starter at Nevada Union HS. He earned all-league honors each season while playing for his father. He finished his career with 340 totackles, including 19.5 for loss in 33 games.
Houlihan graduated with a degree in business from Sacramento State.
