Bill Laslett

Bill Laslett joined the Sacramento State coaching staff in the summer of 2021. He currently serves as an offensive analyst where he works with the quarterbacks. Laslett was the team's special teams analyst during the 2021 season. Overall, he has over 22  years of college coaching experience.

After playing wide receiver for Southeastern Oklahoma State University (graduated 1992), Laslett began his coaching career as a quality control assistant at Baylor. He was then hired as the receivers coach at Snow College in Utah where the team led the NJCAA in passing offense for two years in a row.

After becoming the offensive coordinator at Fayetteville State and then acquiring coaching experience on the defensive side of the ball, he became the head coach at Phoenix College (NJCAA). During his tenure, the team had the best winning percentage in the football program in 16 years.

In 2004, he accepted a role with an NFL staff at the College East/West Las Vegas Classic where he coached the tight ends and coordinated special teams as well as quality control. This game has evolved into the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl in Southern California.

In 2011, he coached special teams/tight ends and was the director of recruiting at Lindenwood (St. Charles, Mo.) where the team posted an 8-3 record.

In 2016, Laslett became the head coach at Santa Monica JC where he led the program in moving up to the upper (National) Division of Southern California Junior Colleges and securing the first upper division wins in school history.

Laslett has a Master’s Degree from Baylor in health, human performance and recreation (kinesiology emphasis) and a bachelor’s degree in physical education from Southeastern Oklahoma State. 

In 2018, Laslett and his wife, Susan Graham, moved to El Dorado Hills from Southern California.
