Biography

2023 Season
  • Redshirted during the season after playing in four games.
  • Started the season opener at Nicholls and saw significant playing time in the second round of the NCAA FCS Playoffs at South Dakota.
  • Threw for 219 yards with one touchdown and one interception during the year.
  • Completed 22-of-38 total passes for a .579 completion percentage.
  • Entered the game at South Dakota in the second quarter and completed 14-of-23 passes for 168 yards and a score and also rushed for 39 yards.
  • Had a season-best 48-yard completion to Anderson Grover against the Coyotes.
  • Had 72 rushing yards during the year with a long of 26 at Nicholls.
  • Also played against Texas A&M-Commerce and Idaho State.
Prior to Sacramento State
  • Played three seasons at South Dakota where he threw for 4,123 yards and 24 touchdowns and also rushed for three scores.
  • Was named to the MVFC All-Newcomer Team as a true freshman in 2020-21.
  • Became the first true freshman to start a game at quarterback in South Dakota history.
  • Threw for 967 yards and three touchdowns in the four game spring season.

  • Started all 12 games as a sophomore where he completed 180-of-276 passes for 2,262 yards and 17 touchdowns.

  • Garnered national attention with his 57-yard Hail Mary to beat South Dakota State, 23-20.
  • That play was named the Sports Illustrated Play of the Year.
  • Appeared in seven games in 2022 where he completed 78-of-139 passes for 904 yards and four touchdowns.
  • Threw for 355 yards and three touchdowns and also rushed for a 75-yard touchdown against Cal Poly.
