2014 Season: Named honorable mention all-Big Sky…played in all 12 games as a defensive end…recorded 21 tackles for the second consecutive season…had six stops and a quarterback hurry in the win over Portland State for his season high…recovered a fumble, intercepted a pass and had four tackles in the victory at UC Davis…had at least two tackles in seven games…was credited with a 7-yard sack against Weber State.

2013 Season: Appeared in all 12 games on the defensive line…made 21 tackles (seven solo), including a TFL…had six stops at Cal Poly for his career high…that total included three solos which tied his career best…had a tackle-for-loss and a quarterback hurry against Montana…had at least one tackle in 11 of the 12 games.

2012 Season: Appeared in all 11 games, including five starts, at defensive end...totaled 32 tackles (13 solos)...biggest game came in the win at Colorado where he had five tackles...in that total were three tackles-for-loss, including an 8-yard sack...also had five tackles in the win over Cal Poly...had at least one stop in all 11 games...recorded a sack against Weber State...intercepted a pass and returned it 25 yards at Idaho State.

2011 Season: Played in 10 of the team’s 11 games…recorded seven tackles, including two for loss during his first active season…scored a touchdown against UC Davis after sacking the quarterback and recoving the fumble in the end zone…made two stops against Oregon State and Northern Colorado…also had two pass break-ups at OSU.

2010 Season: Sat out the season as a redshirt.

High School: A 2010 graduate of Liberty HS in Madera, Calif...was named second team all-state small schools, the North Sequoia League Defensive Player of the Year and was a member of the Fresno Bee all-star team in 2009...was also a first team all-league selection on both the offensive and defensive lines...as a senior, he recorded 110 tackles with 13.5 tackles-for-loss and 10 sacks...was a first team all-NSL selection on both sides of the ball as a junior...also played basketball and baseball for the Hawks...is the school’s all-time leading rebounder.

Personal: Majoring in mathematics...parents are Andy and Angela Cowger...became the first Liberty High School student-athlete to earn a Div. I scholarship.
