CAREER NOTES: Drafted in the 34th round (1005 overall) of the 2018 MLB June Amateur Draft by the Detroit Tigers...T-5th in program history with 27 career home runs...Sixth in program history with 761 career at-bats...Sixth in program history with 126 career RBIs...T-8th in program history with seven career triples...10th in career history with 112 career runs.

SENIOR (2018)Academic All-WAC...Played in 53 games with 50 starts, all at first base...Hit .262 with seven home runs, 33 RBIs, and 36 runs scored...Ranked third on the team with a .384 on base percetnage and in runs scored...Drew 32 walks on the season, T-2nd on the team and T-6th in the WAC...All seven of his home runs came after April 1...Homered in back-to-back games against Chicago State...Hit an inside-the-park home run at UC Davis...Matched his career-high with four RBIs that same game, going 3-for-5 with one run scored, four RBIs, a double, and a home run...Drove in four runs a second time vs. CSU Bakersfield in the WAC Tournament, going 3-for-5 with a home run, two runs scored, and four RBIs...Matched his career-high with three hits in four different games...Despite missing 10 games, finished with eight multi-RBI games, tied for third on the team...Put together a 17 game reached base streak, third longest on the team...In WAC play, hit .283 with four home runs, 12 RBIs, and 14 runs scored...Hit .320 (8-for-25) in the WAC Tournament with five runs scored and seven RBIs...lead the tournament with two home runs, the only player to homer more than once...Was also 2-for-2 in stolen bases in the tournament, tied for most steals...Was exceptional defensively all season, totalling a team-high 403 putouts with 25 assists and just one error, good for a .998 fielding percentage...Of WAC players with at least 400 chances, his .998 fielding percentage was the best in the conference.

SOPHOMORE (2016): Academic All-WAC (2x)...Played in 51 games with 32 starts at first base...Hit .220 with two home runs and 13 RBIs...Had 11 runs scored and six doubles...Led the team with 336 putouts...Hit a solo home run in the fourth inning and drove in the winning run with a sacrifice fly in the ninth in Sacramento State's 5-4 win over No. 5 LSU...Had four multi-hit games with two 3-hit games...Had three multi-RBI games...Went 3-for-4 with a double and 3 RBIs against South Dakota State and was 3-for-5 with two doubles and two runs scored at UT Rio Grande Valley...Hit in every spot of the batting order other than first and ninth...Had a two-RBI single in the eighth inning to tie Sacramento State's WAC Tournament game against New Mexico State...Played defensively at second base in two games...Recorded three stolen bases.  

FRESHMAN (2015): Academic All-WAC...Played in 59 games with 55 starts...Had 54 starts at first base and one at third base...Hit .251 with 8 home runs and 28 RBIs...Led the team and was tied for third in the WAC with eight home runs...Third on the team with a .423 slugging percentage with nine doubles and two triples along with the eight home runs...Hit cleanup in 16 games (team was 11-5 in those games)...Totaled 14 multi-hit games with four 3-hit games...Had six multi-RBI games...Hit 21-for-65 (.323) vs. left handed pitching...Went 3-for-5 with a home run, double, and season-high four RBIs against Portland...In his second collegiate game went 3-for-5 with a homer and three RBIs vs. Utah...Had first career 2-home run game with three RBIs vs. CSU Bakersfield...Had eight at-bats in 18-inning game at No. 15 Iowa, the fourth most at-bats in a game in program history...Had a 10-game hitting streak through the end of the regular season and the first Hornet game at the WAC Tournament...In two Hornet wins on May 22 at the WAC Tournament combined to hit 4-for-10 with a home run, a double, four RBIs, and three runs...Hit .287 with five home runs in WAC play...Had a 15-game reached base streak...Went 3-for-5 in stolen base attempts...Led the WAC with 548 putouts and had 33 assists with just five errors, a .991 fielding percentage.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played four years for head coach Pat Esposito, his father, at Granite Bay HS...Was the 2013 and 2014 Sierra Foothill League (SFL) MVP...Named All-SFL first team in each of his four seasons...Hit .370 for his high school career with a .446 on-base percentage...Hit .384 with two home runs and 17 RBIs as a junior to earn SFL MVP honors...Totaled 48 RBIs through his first three high school seasons...Also played quarterback for the Granite Bay football team for two years...Played club baseball with the Sacramento Stingers.
