MLB DRAFT: Selected by the Minnesota Twins in the 16th round (483rd pick) in the 2016 MLB Draft

CAREER NOTES: Tied for fourth in program history with 12 career saves

SENIOR (2016): All-WAC Second Team...Pitched in 30 games, making the fifth most appearances in a season in program history...Second in the WAC and tied for 35th in NCAA Div. I with 11 saves, tied for the second most saves in a season in program history...Was 4-2 with a team-leading 1.71 ERA...Named to the midseason NCBWA Stopper of the Year Watch List...Allowed just nine earned runs in 47.1 innings pitched...Totaled 24 strikeouts to just 16 walks...Had a .229 opposing batting average and a 1.10 WHIP...Was 1-1 with six saves and a 1.38 ERA in 15 appearances in WAC play...Did not allow a run through his first 15.0 innings pitched in WAC play...Had a 0.28 ERA with only one earned run allowed in his first 32.0 innings pitched of the season...Team was 21-9 in the 30 games he pitched in...Allowed multiple runs in just two of his 30 appearances...Had 25 scoreless outings...Held right handed hitters to a .188 batting average...Pitched multiple innings in 13 appearances, throwing a season-long five innings without allowing a run in Sacramento State's 15-inning win at UT Rio Grande Valley...Did not take a loss until May 15...Had just two blown saves...Earned the win in Sacramento State's 5-4 victory over No. 5 LSU throwing two scoreless innings...Had the save in Sacramento State's 7-6 win over Northern Colorado in the WAC Tournament...Led the WAC with 27 games finished, eight more than any other pitcher in the league.

JUNIOR (2015): Led the team with 23 appearances, all in relief...Went 1-1 with one save...Had a 3.61 ERA in 42.1 innings pitched, the most of any Hornet reliever...Held the opposition to a .255 batting average and totaled 18 strikeouts to just seven walks...Had 11 strikeouts and just one walk through his first 16 games pitched...Issued one walk or fewer in all but one appearance...Picked up his first Sacramento State win pitching three innings in relief at San Francisco...Had 14 scoreless appearances...Threw a season-high four innings and did not allow a run at No. 15 Iowa...Had three strikeouts in three scoreless innings in Sacramento State's 9-3 win over Utah Valley in the WAC Tournament...Picked up a save pitching the last three innings in an 8-1 Hornet win at Chicago State...Did not hit a batter or throw a wild pitch...Had 14 assists and five putouts defensively. 

COLLEGE OF THE SEQUOIAS: Played two seasons for head coach Jody Allen at College of the Sequoias...Named All-Central Valley Conference Second Team in 2014...Made 15 starts and went 5-4 with a 3.92 ERA in 80.1 innings pitched in 2014...Totaled 55 strikeouts and just 17 walks...Led team to a 34-13 overall record and a conference championship...Team made the state finals in 2014 and finished third. 

HIGH SCHOOL: Played four seasons for head coaches Doug Degeer and Chris Olofson at Tehachapi HS...Had a 1.15 ERA in 18.1 innings pitched as a senior in 2012...Totaled 23 strikeouts and just five walks while allowing just 11 hits and three earned runs...Also played basketball as a senior and helped his team go 9-1 in the South Sequoia League playing center.

PERSONAL: Parents are Robert and Kim Beardsley...Majoring in criminal justice...Aspires to be a CHP officer.
