Batted .340 in 14 league games with 12 runs, two doubles, three home runs and nine RBIs...slugged .547 and posted a .407 on-base percentage in conference play...appeared in 51 games, making 46 starts...made 36 starts at first base with 10 more split between left field and DH...hit .308 in 182 at-bats overall on the season with 23 runs, 13 doubles, three home runs and 32 RBIs...had a career-high five RBIs against UNLV on May 20 when he went 3-for-5 with two doubles...recorded five hits, three RBIs and five runs in a four-game series against New Mexico State...tallied a season-high nine game hitting streak and 12-game on-base streak.

Appeared in 14 games to start the year before injuring his wrist and redshirting the season.

AS A JUNIOR (2010)
Appeared in 50 games, while making 45 starts, at first base and designated hitter...hit team-best .381 on the season...had a team-high 10 home runs, 107 total bases and 44 RBIs...had 67 hits in 176 at-bats...tallied 30 runs...struck out just 13 times while taking 20 walks...was the No. 64 most difficult player to strike out in the nation, striking out once every 13.5 at-bats...season-high four RBIs in three games against San Jose State, Louisiana Tech and Fresno State, all conference contests...hit two home runs in two games against Cal State Northridge and Fresno State...made the move from pitcher to infielder prior to the start of the season.

AS A SOPHOMORE (2009)
Appeared in eight games after missing the majority of the season due to offseason elbow problems.

AS A FRESHMAN (2008)

One of three Hornets to appear in 21 contests out of the bullpen...posted a team-best 4.50 ERA, allowing 11 earned runs in 22 innings pitched...struck out 11 batters while walking 10...posted a 3-1 record as a freshman, providing scoreless innings in 15-of-21 outings...specialized in situations with runners on base, Paine pitched out of many jams...recorded first career victory on March 11 vs. Pacific, allowing no runs on one hit in 2.2 innings pitched.

HIGH SCHOOL
A 2007 graduate of Jesuit HS in Carmichael, Calif...MVP of the Delta River League his senior season after leading the Marauders to a 20-11 record, including 10-5 in league...also named Optimist All Star and first team all-Metro by the Sacramento Bee...on the hill, he was 3-2 with a 1.06 ERA...allowed just five earned runs during the season...at the plate, he batted .430 with three home runs and 18 RBI...boasted an on-base percentage of .531...threw a seven inning perfect game against Marin Catholic, needing just 74 pitches, 50 of which were strikes...led team to a share of the DRL title in 2006...was named second team all-league...posted a perfect 3-0 record with a 0.70 ERA, striking out 18 batters in 20 innings pitched while allowing just two earned runs...hit .394 with 24 RBI.
