Sean Carrington, MS, ATC

Sean Carrington joined the Sacramento State athletic training staff in July 2021 and currently works with the baseball program. He has also previously worked with the football team and the men's & women’s cross country and track & field programs.

Prior to his time at Sacramento State, Sean completed a two-year athletic training fellowship program at UC Davis working with the men's & women’s cross country and track & field programs.

He earned his master of science degree in athletic training at Azusa Pacific in 2019. He also earned his bachelor of arts degree in sports biology at Holy Names while competing as a student-athlete for four years on the HNU baseball team.

Sean has a long career of experience in multiple aspects of baseball, having been an NCAA Div. II baseball player for four years at Holy Names, a high school baseball coach for a year, and now working full time as the baseball athletic trainer. His experience as a player and coach, mixed with his sports medicine knowledge allow him to provide a holistic medical approach to the student athletes here at Sacramento State.

A native of Vacaville, Calif., Sean currently resides in Lincoln, Calif., with his wife, Courtney, and their dog, Sunny. During his free time, he enjoys golfing, playing slow pitch softball, snowboarding, and wakeboarding.
