JUNIOR (2015): Preseason WAC Pitcher of the Year...Pitched in 16 games with 15 starts...Went 5-8 with a 3.99 ERA over 85.2 innings pitched...Led the team with 68 strikeouts and had a .249 opposing batting average, best among the Hornet starters...Allowed fewer than one hit per inning...Was 4-4 with a 3.57 ERA and .227 opposing batting average in WAC play...Pitched a combined shutout against North Dakota, allowing just four hits and two walks with seven strikeouts over 7.0 innings...Named WAC Pitcher of the Week for that performance...Also had scoreless starts against UT Rio Grande Valley and Grand Canyon (both 6.0 innings)...Allowed two earned runs or fewer in seven other starts...Had a career-high nine strikeouts while allowing just one earned run in 6.0 innings pitched vs. Seattle U...Had multiple strikeouts in all but one start...Struck out seven batters in two games...Had seven strikeouts and no walks over 5.0 innings in a win over South Dakota State...Allowed just one run on three hits with six strikeouts over 6.0 innings vs. Seattle U in the WAC Tournament...Made one relief appearance at UC Davis and had four strikeouts in one inning (third strikeout reached on a wild pitch)...Had first career at-bat against UT Rio Grande Valley and singled leading off the 15th inning and came around to score the winning run...Also had three putouts playing right field in the UTRGV win...Made two pinch-running appearances.

I with a 0.85 WHIP...Was second in the WAC with a .198 opposing batting average...Allowed just 64 hits and totaled a team-high 63 strikeouts to just 16 walks...Was third in the WAC with just 1.61 walks allowed per nine innings and third with 6.42 hits allowed per nine innings...Fourth in the league with a 3.94 strikeout to walk ratio...Took a no-hitter into the eighth inning in a 1-0 win vs. New Mexico State, finishing with one hit and no walks allowed with a career-high tying seven strikeouts in eight innings...Named WAC Pitcher of the Week for that performance...Threw a shutout in a 2-0 win at Cal Poly, allowing five hits and no walks with five strikeouts...Led the Hornets to a 5-4 win over No. 18 UC Santa Barbara allowing three runs on five hits over 6.0 innings...Started the season 5-0 with a 1.73 ERA through seven games (six starts)...Allowed three runs or fewer in 11 of 13 starts...Had at least one strikeout in every appearance...Team was 8-5 in his starts...Allowed just one earned run on five hits and two walks with six strikeouts over 9.0 innings in Sacramento State's WAC Tournament opener against Utah Valley...Went at least five innings in every start...Played two innings in right field in Sacramento State's 18-inning game at No. 15 Iowa and caught a fly ball to end the 17th inning...Totaled 15 assists and two putouts with no errors. 

FRESHMAN (2014): Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American...WAC Freshman of the Year...All-WAC Second Team...Pitched in 17 games with 15 starts...Went 8-2 with a 3.03 ERA over 95.0 innings pitched...Tied for fourth in the WAC in wins and was ranked fifth in the WAC with a .238 opposing batting average...Was sixth in the WAC in innings pitched and seventh in ERA...Totaled 50 strikeouts to just 26 walks...Threw two complete game shutouts (both just seven innings)...Led the team and was second in the WAC allowing only 1.77 walks per game...Went 5-0 with a 2.24 ERA in nine WAC games (eight starts)...Handed Texas-Pan American ace Sam Street his first loss in a calendar year throwing seven shutout innings allowing one hit and no walks with seven strikeouts...Started the Hornets first ever Div. I NCAA Regional game...Pinch ran against Pacific and scored a run. 

HIGH SCHOOL: Played for head coach Paul Martinez at Del Campo HS as a junior after two seasons at Rosemont HS...Named Capital Valley Conference (CVC) MVP and team MVP in 2013 as he led his team to San Joaquin Div. II section championship and CVC championship...Posted a 4-0 record with a 0.88 era and 49 strikeouts with just one walk in 31.2 innings pitched...Struck out 14 batters in a playoff win against Vanden HS...Also team MVP and an all-league selection in 2012...Played club ball for the Sacramento Stingers.

PERSONAL: Parents are Trent Long and Liza Mineni...Sister Ali plays volleyball at St. Francis College...Graduated early from high school in December 2013...Majoring in communications.
