2022 Season

• Appeared in six games as a reserve offensive lineman during his first year with the team.
• Was listed as the backup left guard throughout the season.

Prior to Sacramento State

• Played two seasons at Missouri State (2020-21) where he was coached by Bobby Petrino.
• Started the final six games of the 2021 season for the Bears at left guard, including the FCS Playoffs first-round game against UT-Martin.
• Helped the team to a 9-3 overall record that season and a second-place finish in the Missouri Valley Football Conference.
• Appeared in all six spring games in 2020-21, making five starts at guard.
• Helped the offense average 310.0 yards per game in league play and allow just 3.0 sacks per game.
• Was a key part of Bears first NCAA FCS Playoff squad and MVFC co-championship team in 30 years.
• Earned All-America first-team and Region I all-California first-team honors as a sophomore at Modesto JC.
• Helped lead the Pirates to a 9-3 record and appearance in the Northern California finals in 2019.
• Was part of a class under coach Rusty Stivers that won 17 games in two seasons.
• Was the leader of an offensive line that led the league in all offensive statistical categories.
• Pirates were 8-3 his freshman year with a trip to the Golden State Bowl.

High School

• A 2018 graduate of Fa'asao Marist HS in Pago Pago, American Samoa.
• Was a four-year starter on the offensive line for coach Okland Salave'a.
• Earned all-island first-team distinction all four seasons while being selected to play in the all-star game after his senior season.
• Was offensive team captain in 2017.
• Lettered in football, basketball, soccer, and volleyball in high school while earning male athlete of the year honors.
• Was a four-year captain in basketball and set school record for most rebounds.

• Majoring in sociology.
• Son of Savali Afia and stepfather Seela Afia.
• Has a brother Gafatasi, and three sisters, Eleanor, Agnes and Gape.
