Two-year varsity letter winner for the Lions… Helped his team to a Metro League title as a junior, batting .333 with a pair of doubles and five RBI while finishing 3-0 on the mound with a 3.08 ERA… Struck out 34 batters over 25 innings, holding opponents to a .211 average… Finished 4-4 with a 1.33 ERA and averaged 14.2 strikeouts per nine innings as a senior while also hitting .442 at the plate, scoring 24 runs and driving in 26… Overall, struck out 92 hitters over 58 innings in his final prep season, allowing just 11 earned runs and walking 18… Opposing batters hit just .137 against him… Named team MVP and was a first-team All-Metro League selection.
