Biography

SENIOR (2013): Appeared in seven games with one start at designated hitter...Went 2-for-8 (.250) for the season with two walks, one strikeout, and one caught stealing...Went 1-for-3 with a walk in his lone start in the Hornets final game of the season vs. San Jose State at the WAC Tournament...Also had a hit against Texas...Pinch hit in six games.

JUNIOR (2012): Appeared in 17 games with four starts in his first season with the Hornets...started one game at second base and three more at designated hitter...hit .143 in 28 at-bats with five runs and two RBIs...went 1-for-1 with two runs scored at Fresno State on May 5 after entering as a pinch-runner.

PRIOR TO SACRAMENTO STATE: Played under head coach Doug Jumelet for two seasons at American River College...a second team all-Big 8 Conference selection in 2010...hit .333 in 120 at-bats in his sophomore season with five doubles, two home runs, 20 RBIs and four stolen bases...struck out just seven times in 142 total plate appearances...posted 12 multi-hit games.

HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Christian Brothers HS in 2008 after playing varsity baseball for four seasons under head coach Terrell Lowrey...posted a 5.10 ERA in 35.2 innings pitched with 23 strikeouts in his senior season...at the plate, he hit .207 in just 29 at-bats.

PERSONAL: Parents are Stephen and Barbara Meyer...major is criminal justice and hopes to become a firefighter or paramedic after graduation.
