Biography

2022: Western Athletic Conference All-Academic Team (4x)… WAC Hitter of the Week (April 18)… Started 45 of the team’s 58 games… Hit a team-best .324 on the season with 33 runs scored, 55 hits, 15 doubles, seven home runs, and 27 RBI… Slugged .535 on the year and walked 20 times en route to a .405 on-base percentage… In 25 Western Athletic Conference games, hit .337 with 21 runs scored, eight doubles, six home runs, and 18 RBI… Finished the year with 16 multi-hit games (second on the team) and drove in multiple runs six times… Led the team in average and doubles, ranked third in slugging, and second in on-base percentage… Ended the year second on the team in runs scored, tied for fourth in RBI, tied for second in home runs, and third in total bases… Reached base safely in 12 consecutive games at one point in the season… Collected four hits in a game twice against Northern Illinois (Feb. 18) and at Grand Canyon (May 6)… Named the WAC Player of the Week on April 18 after hitting 7-for-13 with six runs scored and seven RBI against Fresno State and Seattle U… Also had three-hit games in the finale against Northern Illinois (Feb. 20), at New Mexico State (April 9), Seattle U (April 15), at Utah Tech (April 23), at Grand Canyon (May 8), and San Jose State (May 19)… Scored a season-high three runs in the season opener against the Huskies and, again, against Seattle U (April 15)… Drove in a season-high six runs in that April 15 game against the Redhawks, finishing 2-for-4 with two home runs and a pair of runs scored… Also had a two-homer game at Grand Canyon on May 6 in his second four-hit game of the season.

2021: All-Western Athletic Conference Second Team (2x)...Western Athletic Conference All-Academic Team (3x)...Played in 52 of Sacramento State's 57 games, starting 47...Made most of his starts behind the plate, starting 40 games at catcher...Remaining seven starts came as the designated hitter...Hit. .273 with a .323 OBP and .448 SLG...Hit seven home runs, second most on the team, and 11 doubles...Drove in 39 while scoring 34 runs...Was a perfect 1-for-1 in stolen base attempts...Had 12 multi-hit games and nine multi-RBI games...Season-high three hits in three games...Drove in a season-high four in Sacramento State's season opener at Arizona State, hitting a go-ahead grand slam in the top of the ninth inning...Was his second career grand slam...Was one of the best defenders in the league and the nation, posting a .994 fielding percentage...His .994 FLD% was second best among all WAC players with at least 300 chances, second only to teammate Ryan Walstad...Committed just two errors in 335 total chances...Collected 312 putouts and 21 assists...Behind the plate, Bacho threw out 11 of 24 base stealers, most on the team.

2020: Western Athletic Conference All-Academic Team (2x)...Started all 16 of Sacramento State's games in 2020 behind the plate...Hit a career-high .317 with a .406 on-base percentage and a .483 slugging percentage, also career-highs...His .317 average was second on the team...Led the Hornets in 2020 with six multi-hit games in 16 tries...His 19 hits were most on the team, as were his 60 at bats...Bacho was tied for the team lead with four doubles while his two home runs were tied for second...Drove in 11, also a team-high, while scored 12 runs, tied second most on the club...Had three multi-RBI games, including a three-RBI game against Pacific on March 3...Also had two stolen bases, matching his personal best in just 16 games...Posted a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage in a team-leading 150 chances...Had 137 total putouts and 13 assists from behind the plate...Threw out six would-be base stealers in 18 total attempts, good for a .333 caught stealing percentage.

2019: All-Western Athletic Conference Second Team...Western Athletic Conference All-Academic Team...WAC Tournament MVP...Played in 64 of Sacramento State's 65 games, making 62 starts...Split time at catcher and designated hitter, starting 38 of his games behind the plate the remaining 24 at DH...Had a career season in every category, hitting .263 with eight home runs, a team-high 53 RBIs, and 40 runs scored...Led the team in total extra-base hits with 23 (13 doubles, two triples, eight home runs)...Had 13 multi-hit games, including three four-hit games...Was one of three players with a four-hit game on the season...Led the Hornets with 12 multi-RBI games, including a career-best five-RBI game against Cal Baptist...Bacho went 4-for-6 with five RBIs and three runs in a 21-10 win over WAC newcomer Cal Baptist on March 29...Also had four-RBI games, including a game in which he hit the Hornets' only grand slam of the season on on May 11 at Utah Valley...Had a nine-game hit streak from May 17 through May 26, the majority of which came during the WAC Tournament...Was named WAC Tournament MVP after hitting a team-high .323 with three home runs, two doubles, and eight RBIs...Bacho also led the Hornets with three walk-off hits during the season...Defensively, Bacho posted a .997 fielding percentage, committing just one error in 363 total chances...Recorded a team-leading 336 putouts with 26 assists...Behind the plate, Bacho threw out six potential base stealers over the course of the season, most on the team.

2017: Played in 42 games with 32 starts...Hit .243 with 12 RBIs and 13 runs scored...Started 31 of the first 44 games of the season...Team was 18-14 in his starts...Had seven multi-hit games...Had three multi-RBI games...Drew 17 walks and had a .354 on-base percentage...Totaled three doubles and two home runs...Homered at Utah Valley and at home against San Francisco...Scored twice at UC Davis...Was 2-for-3 in stolen base attempts...Hit 8-for-25 (.320) against left-handed pitching...Threw out eight attempted stolen bases...Had 232 putouts and 22 assists with just four errors for a .984 fielding percentage.
