2021 Season

• Named second team all-Big Sky as a defensive back.
• Started 11 of the 12 games in which he appeared in his first season at Sacramento State.
• Tied for the team lead with four interceptions, ranked second with 10 PBUs and was fifth with 46 total tackles.
• Recorded at least one tackle in all 12 games with a season high nine against Southern Utah and seven against NAU.
• Had interceptions against Cal, Idaho State, Cal Poly and Portland State.
• Returned the pick against Cal Poly 47 yards for a touchdown.
• Recovered a fumble at Northern Colorado late in the game which led to a Hornet touchdown.

Prior to Sacramento State

• Spent three seasons at Montana State.
• Was a preseason all-Big Sky selection but was limited to three games in 2019 due to injury.
• Logged two tackles against Sacramento State and three at North Dakota.
• Was named honorable mention all-Big Sky in 2018.
• Started the last eight games for the Bobcats and led the team with eight pass breakups.
• Finished the season with 40 tackles and a pair of interceptions.
• Intercepted passes against Eastern Washington and Weber State, including a 27-yard pick six against WSU.
• Had seven tackles against Idaho and six against Eastern Washington for his season bests.
• Played two seasons at Compton JC where he was a unanimous all-American Metro League first team and all-California Region IV first team choice.
• Recorded 39 tackles, five interceptions and forced a fumble.

• A 2015 graduate of Paramount HS.
• Also attended Long Beach Jordan HS (2012-13) and Compton HS (2011).

• Parents are Gregory Filer, Jr., and Dana Mitchell.
• Brother, John Ross III, played at Washington and with the Cincinnati Bengals.
