Sacramento State

2014 Season: Played in all 12 games as a safety and on special teams…tied for the team lead with two interceptions…finished the year with 22 total tackles, including 11 solos…tallied a season-high seven stops against Cal Poly…picked off his first career pass against Menlo which he returned 15 yards…had a 22-yard interception return against Portland State…also had a PBU against the Vikings.

2013 Season: Appeared in all 12 games and started three at safety…made 23 tackles, including 13 solos…had four tackles at Weber State and North Dakota for his season high…had one pass breakup at Portland State.

Prior to Sacramento State: Played two seasons at Hawaii where he tallied 42 tackles, including three for loss, while also forcing a fumble and defending three passes…as a freshman, he played in all 13 games for the Warriors and ended the year with 30 tackles…during the year, he had six tackles against San Jose State and five stops, along with a sack, against Louisiana Tech…in 2012, he had 12 total tackles with three tackles against Lamar, BYU and San Diego State.

High School: Prepped at James Campbell HS in Ewa Beach, Hawaii, where he was a two-time all-league selection…also competed in track and field where he finished fourth in the state finals in the high jump and won the league title after clearing 6-feet, 6-inches…also played basketball for the Sabers.

Personal: Majoring in communication studies…mother is Santa Cortes.
