Biography

2016 Season: Competed in six games…finished the year with seven total tackles…had three stops, including a half-taclkle-for-loss at Montana…had two tackles against Cal Poly and Portland State.

2015 Season: Appeared in eight games, making three starts at cornerback…recorded 15 total tackles to along with a forced fumble and two pass breakups…had five stops at Weber State for his season high.

2014 Season: Started the first three games of the season at cornerback before a knee injury ended his year…made eight tackles and had a PBU…highest tackle total came against Weber State where he had four, including three solos.

2013 Season: Sat out the season due to injury.

2012 Season: Appeared in nine games and had 11 tackles during the season...had three tackles at New Mexico State for his season high...also had a pass breakup at NMSU...was credited with two stops against Cal Poly and UC Davis.

2011 Season: Redshirted during the season.

High School: A 2011 graduate of Mira Mesa HS in San Diego…named first team all-Eastern League as a cornerback in 2010…recorded 77 tackles, including 55 unassisted…also had three interceptions and seven pass breakups…helped lead the team to a pair of Eastern League titles…was a member of the track team which won the league title in the 4x400 relay.

Personal: Majoring in communication studies…parents are Caesar and LaDon Payne.
