Sacramento State

2014 Season: Earned third team all-Big Sky honors at offensive guard…started all 12 games during the season…helped pave the way for an offensive which set school single-season records with 5,780 yards (481.7 per game) and 458 points (38.2 per game)…was credited with a tackle during the season.

2013 Season: Started the first eight games of the year at left guard before suffering an ankle injury…earned Big Sky all-academic honors.

Prior to Sacramento State: Attended Oregon State for three years (redshirting in 2010)…appeared in eight games in 2012 with starts against Cal and Oregon…played against Sacramento State in 2011 and also saw time against Wisconsin…was a two-time honorable mention Pac-12 all-academic selection.

High School: A 2010 graduate of Sheldon HS in Eugene, Ore…was a first team all-state and  all-Southwest Conference selection as an offensive lineman…earned second team all-league honors as a defensive lineman as a senior…played in the Oregon Les Schwab all-star game…the team posted a 34-6 record in his three varsity seasons…earned four letters as a heavyweight wrestler and also competed in the shot put during one season…placed third int he district as a senior in wrestling…was the Southwest Conference Distric champion in the shot put during his one season of track and field..

Personal: Majoring in business administration…parents are Dennis and Betty Nielsen.
