2013 Season: Was a member of the team but did not appear in a game.

2012 Season: Redshirted during the season.

High School: A 2012 graduate of Inderkum HS in Sacramento…helped the team to a pair of 10-2 records during his final two seasons…recorded 111 tackles as a senior, including 52 solo stops…also had three interceptions and forced two fumbles…had at least three tackles in every game and recorded 10-plus tackles in seven contests…was credited with a career high 16 tackles against Reno HS…made 99 tackles as a junior…biggest total came against Florin HS where he had 15 stops.

Personal: Has yet to declare a major…parents are Scott and Melissa Mathews.
