Biography

2019 Season
A first team all-Big Sky Conference selection and team co-captain…also named the Sacramento State Female Student-Athlete of the Year…one of two Hornets to start all 32 matches and play in all 130 sets…averaged 4.17 kills, 0.38 aces, 2.22 digs, 0.34 blocks and 4.75 points per set…led the nation with 1,711 total attacks, and was ninth in the country in points (617) and 10th in kills (542)…in Sacramento State’s Div. I era (1991-pres.), Davis’ 542 kills are the sixth best single-season mark and the 4.17 kills per set rank eighth best…her averages of 4.17 kills per set overall, and 4.42 kills per set against Big Sky competition, both were league highs…led or tied for the team lead in kills in 28 of the Hornets’ 32 matches…against conference opposition, she raised her numbers to 4.42 kills, 0.43 aces and 2.29 digs per set…recorded double figures in kills in all but three matches, including a run of 21 straight from Sept. 7-Nov. 9…also posted double digits in digs on 13 occasions…had 13 double-doubles (kills and digs)…had a career-best 31 kills in a home win over Northern Arizona…had a career-high 21 digs at Montana State…named Big Sky Player of the Week on Oct. 7…also named Sacramento State Student-Athlete of the Week on Sept. 2 and Nov. 3…went over the 1,000 career kills mark during the season…finished her career with 1,117 kills, the 19th most in school history…a Big Sky all-academic selection for the third straight season.

2018 Season
Played in all 32 matches and played in 117 of a possible 120 sets…started 30 matches…after playing rightside hitter a year ago, Davis switched to the left side this season…played 29 matches at outside hitter, and had to fill in at setter for three matches after the Hornets experienced injury problems at the position…finished the season with averages of 2.68 kills, 2.14 digs, 0.33 blocks and 3.09 points per set…posted double figures in kills on 18 occasions, and had 12 matches with double digits in digs…raised her numbers in Big Sky play to 3.26 kills and 2.26 digs per set…the average of 3.26 kps ranked as the seventh best mark in the conference…season highs during the season -- 19 kills at Idaho State, 20 digs at Cal State Northridge, seven aces vs. Southern Utah, and 21.5 points vs. Southern Utah…the seven aces are also a career high and tied for the second best single-match mark in school history…had at least 12 kills during each of her final six matches of the year…a Big Sky all-academic selection for the second straight year.

2017 Season
Started all 36 matches at rightside hitter, and appeared in 145 of 146 sets…finished the season with averages of 1.77 kills, 0.42 digs and 0.72 blocks per set to go along with a .231 hitting percentage…in league play, she bumped her hitting percentage to .268 while averaging 1.86 kills, 0.49 digs and 0.70 blocks…posted double figures in kills on seven occasions, including a season-high 16 in the Big Sky Tournament quarterfinals to go along with a .368 hitting percentage…also had 11 kills in the Big Sky Tournament championship match…career-high seven blocks came in a regular season home win against Portland State…had season totals of 256 kills, 61 digs and 104 blocks…named to the Big Sky All-Academic team.

2016 Season
Played in six matches, including eight sets…had season totals of six kills, two aces, eight digs and two blocks…averaged 0.75 kills, 1.00 digs and 1.12 points per set…opened the season with three kills, two aces and a 1.000 hitting percentage against Arkansas-Pine Bluff…also had two kills and two digs vs. Cal State Northridge…season high of five digs came against Arizona.

High School

A 2016 graduate of Saguaro High School in Scottsdale, Ariz…played four years of varsity volleyball for the Sabercats…helped lead Saguaro to improved records each of her first three seasons with the team, culminating in a Div. III, Section V championship and qualifying for the quarterfinals of the 2014 state championship…that team finished with a 28-11 overall record and a 10-0 section mark, and Davis was awarded Div. III second team all-state accolades…as a senior, Davis was named team captain and was rewarded with all-city honors after finishing the year with averages of 4.00 kills, 2.20 digs, 0.48 blocks and 0.66 aces per set to go along with a .360 hitting percentage…spent her freshman season playing middle blocker before shifting to outside hitter during her final three years with the program…a four-time MaxPreps Player of the Match selection, Davis was on Saguaro teams that improved from 10-19, 5-7 as a freshman, to 22-16, 8-2 as a sophomore, and 28-11, 10-0 as a junior…during her senior season, the team played Div. II, Section II where they finished 14-17.

Personal
An communication studies major who is on pace to graduate from Sacramento State in May of 2020…parents are Tom and Jana Davis…played four seasons for the Revolution Volleyball Academy in Scottsdale.
