Biography

2016 Season
Made an incredible recovery from a major knee injury suffered in late October of 2015 to return and enjoy the best season of her career…started all 32 matches at middle blocker and played in 116 of a possible 119 sets…led the Big Sky with a .369 hitting percentage, a mark that would have ranked tied for 31st in the nation if she had enough attacks to qualify…that .369 hitting percentage is also tied for the third best single-season mark in school history…averaged 1.50 kills, 0.76 blocks and 1.95 points per set…named to the all-tournament team at the Rebel Challenge…had a career-high 13 kills at Portland State…also had eight blocks and a .550 hitting percentage in that match…posted 11 kills, a .500 hitting percentage and five blocks in a home victory over Idaho State…hit better than .300 on 24 occasions…over her last four matches of the season, which includes the Big Sky Tournament, she averaged 1.75 kills and hit .500 over that span…hit better than .300 in each of her final two seasons of her career and finished with a .274 career hitting percentage…named Big Sky All-Academic.

2015 Season
Was having the best season of her career until suffering a knee injury in the first set at North Dakota on Oct. 29, and missing the team’s final seven matches…started all 26 matches in which she was healthy…averaged 1.31 kills, 0.93 blocks and 1.86 points per set while hitting .308…at the time of her injury, Dietrich had gone two-plus matches without an attack error as she was hitting .833 (15-0-18) over that span…that included a match in which she tied the school record with a 1.000 hitting percentage (min. 7 kills) with eight kills in eight swings against Montana State…had at least four blocks on 11 occasions, including a season-best 10 at home vs. Northern Arizona…had 12 kills and a .600 hitting percentage vs. Kent State…named to the all-tournament team at the Campbell Tournament…averaged 1.06 blocks per set against Big Sky competition, the seventh best mark in the league.

2014 Season
Appeared in 29 matches, including 24 starts at middle blocker…played in 97 total sets…averaged 1.06 kills and 1.08 blocks per set…season highs of kills (9 vs. Murray State), hitting percentage (.545, 7-1-11 vs. Idaho), digs (7 at Valparaiso) and blocks (11 at Portland State)…the digs and blocks were both career highs…had at least three blocks in 17 matches…accounted for 15.0 points after finishing with nine kills and nine blocks in a four-set win over Murray State…the 11 blocks at Portland State were the most by a Hornet during the season.

2013 Season
Appeared in 29 matches, including 25 starts as a true freshman…started 19 of the final 20 matches of the season…finished the season with 1.40 kills, 0.40 digs and 0.80 blocks per set while hitting .247…posted season highs in both kills (10) and blocks (8) while hitting .444 in a home victory over Portland State…hit a season-best .538 with nine kills in a home win against Weber State…also had eight kills, seven blocks and a .312 hitting percentage at home vs. Eastern Washington…named the Big Sky Conference Player of the Week on Oct. 28 after helping the team to home wins over Portland State and Eastern Washington…became the first Hornet freshman to garner Big Sky Player of the Week honors since 2010, and just the second Hornet freshman in the last 13 years…hit better than .300 on 14 occasions.

High School

A 2013 graduate of Chelan High School in Chelan, Wash…a three-sport star, she was a four-year varsity starter for the Mountain Goats in volleyball, basketball and softball…in volleyball, she helped lead Chelan to four consecutive 1A Caribou Trail League championships (2009-12), three straight district titles (2009-11) and a state championship in 2010…a first team all-state selection and the league player of the year during both her junior and senior seasons…nominated as the 2012 North Central Washington Female Athlete of the Year…in 2010, she was a first team all-conference selection and named the team’s most improved player…also received all-league honors in both basketball and softball during her junior season with those sports.

Personal
Graduated in the spring of 2017 with a degree in child development…parents are Darrin and Shari…played club ball for Columbia Juniors of Kennewick, Wash.
