2012 Season: Made national attention after making the game-winning field goal at Colorado as time expired...finished the season 11-of-14 on field goal attempts and 34-of-37 on PATs...led the team with 67 points...went 4-for-4 on field goals and made six extra points at Idaho State...in that game, he was successful from 25, 38, 41 and 50 yards...he tied the school record for field goals in a game while his 50-yarder ranks fifth in program history...took over kickoff duties late in the year where he averaged 61.6 yards on 21 kicks with seven touchbacks.

Prior to Sacramento State: Played at City College of San Francisco for two seasons…helped the Rams win the JC national title in 2011…that season, he led the team in scoring with 93 points…made 12-of-17 field goal attempts and was 57-of-63 on extra points…was a perfect 6-for-6 on field goal attempts inside 30 yards and was 10-of-12 within 40 yards…as a freshman, he was 6-of-10 on field goals with a long of 44 yards…made all 56 of his extra points.

High School: Graduated from Alameda HS in 2010…made five field goals and 17 extra points as a senior for the Hornets.

Personal: Has yet to declare a major…parents are Martin and Rosa Castaneda.
