RS FRESHMAN (2019): Played in 17 of the Hornets' 18 matches in 2019, starting one...Was one of the team's go-to-reserves in 2019 - his 16 matches off the bench were more than any other player (next closest was 13)...In his first active season, finished with nine points, tied for third most on the team...Led the Hornets with five assists while also scoring two goals...Had two assists in two separate games - first in a 4-2 Hornets win over San Francisco on Sept. 19 and again in a 2-1 win at CSUN on Oct. 16...Collected his first career assist in his first game on Aug. 30 at San Jose State...His first career goal was the game-winner in a 2-0 win over #25 Air Force (Sept. 6) while his second was a crucial equalizer in a 1-1 draw at home against Pacific (Sept. 22)...Chavez attempted 20 shots overall, placing eight of them on goal...Chavez played 941 total minutes, averaging 55 per game...Played a career-high 79 on the road at LMU on Sept. 13.

FRESHMAN (2018): Redshirt season.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played four seasons under head coaches Dane White and Alfredo Renteria for Galt High School...his teams compiled an 80-7-11 record during his time there...was named All-League three times during his career, as well as team captain and conference MVP for his junior campaign in 2017...as a sophomore, scored 29 goals and has 12 assists for a 70-point season...also played seven seasons with the Galt FC United, playing as a starting forward in the team's biggest tournaments over the last three years.
