Biography

SENIOR (2016): Academic All-WAC...Pitched in 16 games with 13 starts...Went 5-4 with a 4.57 ERA over 82.2 innings pitched...Tied for the team lead in innings...Ranked second in the WAC and 45th in NCAA Div. I with just 1.52 walks allowed per nine innings...Walked two men or fewer in every game and had nine games with one or fewer walks...Had 29 strikeouts and just 14 walks...Was 3-3 with a 4.44 ERA in WAC play...Had a 4-1 record through April...Team was 7-6 in his 13 starts...Allowed just one hit and no runs in 4.2 innings of relief after starter Justin Dillon was injured after only five pitches in the first Hornet win at Auburn...Allowed three or fewer earned runs in nine starts...Allowed just one earned run in wins over Northern Colorado and Chicago State...Allowed just seven hits and three runs in six innings vs. New Mexico State in the WAC Tournament...Held left-handed hitters to a .258 batting average...Led all Hornet pitchers with 123 groundouts and tied for second with seven double plays induced...Had a season high four strikeouts vs. Northern Colorado and had multiple strikeouts in 10 games...Had 20 assists and four putouts with no errors.

JUNIOR (2015): Pitched in 17 games in relief...Went 2-3 with a 4.97 ERA in 25.1 innings pitched...Totaled 17 strikeouts to just six walks...Had 10 scoreless outings, including the final inning of Sacramento State's win over Utah Valley in the WAC Tournament...Earned a win over Portland with two scoreless innings pitched and had a win against Texas-Pan American...Did not allow more than one walk in any game and had four games with multiple strikeouts...Had a season-high four strikeouts in three innings pitched against No. 18 UC Santa Barbara...Pitched a season-high 3.2 innings allowing just one hit and one unearned run against Utah...Had five assists and three putouts defensively without an error.

COLLEGE OF SOUTHERN IDAHO: Played two seasons for head coach Boomer Walker at College of Southern Idaho...Named All-Scenic West Conference second team...Pitched in 14 games with 11 starts as a sophomore, going 4-4 with a 2.90 ERA and recording one save...Had 49 strikeouts and just six walks in 62.0 innings pitched...Went 3-6 with a 4.05 ERA as a freshman, throwing 46.2 innings in 26 games.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played four seasons for head coach Pete Savage at Reno HS...Was a first team All-State selection in 2012 and was a two-time All-North League first team honoree...Led team to 2012 North Zone championship and was the state runner up...All-Northern Nevada first team pitcher in 2011...Also played outfield and was named the Northern Nevada Offensive Player of the Year in 2012.
