SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The Sacramento State football team will culminate its off-season practices with the annual Spring Game on Saturday, Apr. 25, at Hornet Stadium. The team will take the field for warmups beginning at 3:30 p.m. with play starting at 4:15 p.m. Admission is free.

Along with the action, the first 500 fans will receive a free Sacramento State hat. Fans can also enjoy food trucks and stick around following the scrimmage for autographs and schedule posters.

Saturday will cap the 15-practice spring schedule for the Hornets and first-year head coach Alonzo Carter. Sacramento State's roster features over 100 players, including dozens of newcomers.

The Hornets will return to team practices in early August and begin the 2026 season on Aug. 29 at Eastern Michigan in the first game of the FBS era in school history. The home slate will see games against Mississippi Valley State, North Dakota State, UMass, Ohio, Kent State and Toledo. Deposits are now being taken for season tickets.
