SACRAMENTO -- Sacramento State saw its three-match winning streak snapped in a 4-0 loss to 73rd-ranked Hawaii on Friday afternoon on campus.
The match was the first, and only, of the tournament for the Hornets (6-5) at the Golden State Invitational, which they are co-hosting with UC Davis.
Hawaii is currently ranked 73rd in the national rankings. The ITA ranks the top 75 programs in the country.
The Warriors won the doubles point by taking matches at Nos. 1 (6-3) and 3 (7-5). Hawaii also picked up straight set singles wins at Nos. 1, 5 and 6 to provide the four points for victory.
Nick Bowles won his first set at No. 4 before his match was stopped, and
Freddie Healey was up, 5-4, in the second set before his match was halted.
The Hornets are back in action on Wednesday when they host Illinois State at 1 p.m.
