1. Bring It Home
Saturday will be the annual Homecoming game for Sacramento State and there will be plenty of action for Hornet fans. The day begins with volleyball taking on Long Beach State at noon. Women's soccer plays Cal State Fullerton at 1 p.m. and men's soccer plays host to UC Irvine at 4 p.m. At the stadium, the Homecoming golf cart parade starts at 4 p.m., the first 2,000 Sacramento State students will receive complimentary hats and all fans will be treated to postgame fireworks.

2. Finding Balance
Through the first six games of the season, Sacramento State has been pass-heavy in three contests and run-heavy in the other three. When the Hornets go to the passing attack, they go all-in. The team threw 73 percent of the time at Eastern Michigan, 61.2 percent of the time against North Dakota State and 55.8 percent of the time against UMass. The closest to balanced the Hornets have been was at Fresno State where Sacramento State had 34 rushes and 31 passes (47.7%/52.3%). The largest disparity favoring the run came against Mississippi Valley State where the team had 41 carries and only 29 passes.

3.He's Willing To Share
The Hornets have scored 11 touchdowns this year but only
Matt Coleman has found the end zone more than once this year. Coleman leads the team with four receiving touchdowns — his latest was a 55-yarder at Bowling Green — while seven other players have scored once. The leading scorer on the team, however, has not scored a TD as kicker
Grant Meadors has made seven field goals and 10 PATs for 31 points.

4. Know The Foe
Ohio enters this game with a 4-2 overall record and has won four of its last five games. The Bobcats jumped out to a 31-0 halftime lead last week against Central Michigan and won 31-14. Ohio has used three QBs during the year with Matt Vezza throwing for 439 yards and four touchdowns, Granite Bay HS graduate Nick Poulos for 338 yards and four TDs and Levi Davis for 171 yards and two scores.
