SACRAMENTO -- In a match that was completed in just 90 minutes, Sacramento State picked up straight set singles wins in every match, and swept the doubles matches to beat Jessup, 7-0, on Tuesday afternoon on campus.
This afternoon's match marked the home opener as the Hornets improved to 3-3. The team has won two straight matches after opening Big Sky Conference play Sunday with a road win at Portland State.
Of the six players Sacramento State used this afternoon, five were freshmen. In fact, freshmen took up the Nos. 2-6 spots in the lineup. Combined between singles and doubles play, the Hornets dropped just 15 games.
