SACRAMENTO -- Sacramento State head volleyball coach
Ruben Volta announced that three players have signed with the program, and each will enroll at the University as freshmen. That includes a pair of outside hitters and a middle blocker.
The list is comprised of local product and outside hitter Addy Scheitlin from Rocklin, and a pair of Canadians in middle blocker Nikola Gamlin and outside hitter Mia Molnar.
The Gamlin File
• A 6-foot-1 middle blocker from Airdrie, Alberta
• Will graduate from George McDougall High School in Alberta
• Currently a member of the National Excellence Program (NEP) for Volleyball Canada
• Won a silver medal in 2025 with 18U Team Alberta at the Canada Games
• Won a tournament title at the 2025 all-Canadian Volleyball Games
• Was selected to play for Team Canada at the U17 FIVB World Championships in Peru
• Played for U16 Team Canada at the 2024 Canada Cup in Alberta
• In 2023, she played for U15 Team Alberta at the Canada Cup
• Played for Canuck Stuff Volleyball Club where she won a gold medal at the Alberta Provincial Championships while playing up a year
The Molnar File
• A 5-foot-11 outside hitter from Cranbrook, British Columbia
• Will graduate from Mount Baker Secondary School in Cranbrook
• Currently a member of the National Excellence Program (NEP) for Volleyball Canada
• Represented B.C. at the Canada Cup over the summer
• Also for B.C., she played in Canada's Summer Games
• Played in the 2025 all-Canadian Volleyball Games
• Won a gold medal at the 2024 Canada Cup
• Can touch 10 feet, four inches
• Played club for East Kootenay Volleyball Club
The Scheitlin File
• A 6-foot-1 outside hitter from Rocklin, Calif.
• Will graduate this fall from Rocklin High School, and play for the Sacramento State beach team this spring
• A four-year member of the varsity team at Rocklin, she recently helped the Thunder to a section championship and the team will play in the state tournament's regional semifinals on Saturday night
• Has 1,145 career kills, 684 digs and 152 aces. Averaging 2.76 kills per set to go with a .363 hitting percentage during her career.
• Will be a three-time first team all-Sierra Foothill League selection. Currently averaging 3.63 kills and 2.21 digs per set while hitting .371
• Has never hit below .346 in any of her four seasons
• Over the last three years, Rocklin HS has combined for a 99-21 overall record, 35-3 in league, and three league titles
