FOOTBALL TO HOLD SPRING GAME ON SATURDAY AT HORNET STADIUM

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The Sacramento State football team will hold its Spring Game on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Hornet Stadium. Admission is free and open to the public. The game will be the culmination of the spring practice season which began on Mar. 26.

The team will take the field at 1 p.m. and go through individual drills. The spring game will begin shortly after and be divided into four quarters. The opening period will have a 15 minute running clock with the offense starting on its own 25 yard line. After some punt team work, the second quarter will take place in the red zone with a 10 minute clock.

Following a halftime break, the third quarter will begin at the defensive's 45-yard line in a 15 minute period. The fourth quarter will start with field goals and be followed by a two-minute drill which will see the offense start at the 50-yard line with 1:02 on the clock and one timeout.

Along with the game, there will be a kids zone on site, a punt, pass and kick competition and the team will sign postgame autographs.

Sacramento State will begin its 2024 season on Aug. 29 at San Jose State. The team's first home game will come on Saturday, Sept. 14, against Nicholls.
