• This is the third straight season that Vinsonhaler has been named a team captain, while Lopez and Dougherty were captains in 2023

SCOUTING IDAHO STATE
• The Bengals enter the week with a 2-4-4 overall record and a 1-0 mark in league play following a 1-0 win over Northern Colorado last weekend
• Idaho State is unbeaten in its last two, adding a 2-2 draw at home against Seattle U
• The four draws by the Bengals this year are tied for the most in the Big Sky
• Idaho State is 1-3-2 in road matches this season and is winless in its last four (0-3-1) dating back to a 1-0 win at Denver on Aug. 18
• Freshman Paige Harris and sophomore Payton Reed lead the team with two goals apiece -- accounting for four of ISU's seven goals on the year
• Freshman Trinity Hale has played all but 45 minutes in net this season, posting a 1.16 goals against average and 37 saves (.771 save percentage) to go along with five shutouts -- the latter sharing the Big Sky lead in that category

SERIES NOTABLES
• Idaho State leads the all-time series with Sacramento State, 13-8-5
• The Hornets are 5-7-1 at home against the Bengals, but have won three of the last four meetings in Sacramento
• Each of the last four head-to-head meetings have either ended in a tie or decided by a single goal
• Idaho State is unbeaten in the last two meetings with Sacramento State, posting a 1-0 win in Northern California in 2022 and ending in a 1-1 draw in 2023 in Pocatello
• The Hornets' last victory came during the 2021 campaign, a 1-0 triumph in Idaho
• Sacramento State is 5-1-2 against Idaho State in the last eight meetings after the Bengals had won five straight from 2010-14

SCOUTING WEBER STATE
• The Wildcats enter the week with a 1-8-4 overall record and an 0-1 mark in Big Sky play following a 3-1 loss at home against Northern Colorado
• Weber State, which travels to Portland State on Friday, is winless in its last four (0-3-1) dating back to its only victory of the season at North Dakota State (4-2) on Sept. 12
• The Wildcats are 1-6-1 on the road this year, including an 0-5-1 start before the win at NDSU
• Junior forward Ali Swensen leads the team with five goals and 12 points on the year -- accounting for nearly half of the team's 13 goals on the season
• Weber State has surrendered 34 goals this year -- the most of any school in the Big Sky (Northern Colorado is second at 22)
• Senior goalkeeper Hadley Harris has seen the majority of time in net (765 minutes), posting a 2.71 goals against average and 37 saves (.617 save percentage)

SERIES NOTABLES
• Weber State leads the all-time series with Sacramento State, 15-10-6
• The Hornets, however, are 7-4-2 at home against the Wildcats
• Sacramento State is unbeaten in its last three matches with Weber State, posting a 1-0 win in 2022, a 1-1 draw in the 2022 conference tournament, and a 0-0 draw in Utah last season
• Three of the last four meetings between the two have ended in a shutout
• The Wildcats last win in the series came in 2021 thanks to a 3-0 win in Utah
• Sunday marks only the second meeting in Sacramento in the last six matches
• The Hornets have won three of the last four on their home field
• The first-ever meeting between the two programs back in 1996 ended in a wild 6-6 draw -- the most combined goals in a single match in school history

MAKING OURSELVES AT HOME
• Sacramento State is 5-1-3 in its last nine Big Sky home openers dating back to the 2015 campaign
• The Hornets' only loss in that span came against Montana by a 2-1 score in 2022, while the two schools played to a 1-1 draw in 2016
• Sacramento State is unbeaten against Northern Arizona (2-0-1), Idaho (1-0), Eastern Washington (0-0-1), Idaho State (1-0), and former member North Dakota (1-0) in that span

WE'LL HAVE A HOUSE PARTY
• Speaking of success at home, the Hornets are 2-0-2 at home this season and are 4-2-4 in their last 10 matches on their home turf dating back to last year
• Sacramento State enters the week as one of three unbeaten Big Sky teams at home this year along with Montana (7-0) and Idaho (5-0-1)
• The Hornets are 2-2 at home in conference play in each of the last three seasons

TOP 10 FOR NUMBER 10
• Lopez is now among the top 10 goal scorers in the history of the program following her performances against CSUN and Cal State Bakersfield, finishing with a pair of goals on 10 shots in an unbeaten weekend
• The three-time All-Big Sky Conference honoree enters this week's matches with 13 career scores to go with five assists for 31 points
• Her 13 goals are tied for ninth on the school's all-time list, matching Tisha Smith (1994-95) and Adaurie Dayak (2013-16), while putting her one back of Elece McBride (14 from 2008-12) for eighth
• Lopez's 31 points are five back on that all-time list, trailing former teammate Aubrey Goodwill (2018-22) for 10th
• Thanks to her six attempts last week, Lopez's 116 career shots put her past Jessica Mackiewicz (1998-99) and into 10th place on that career list, standing just six shots behind Elece McBride (2008-12) for ninth and 10 shy of Kayla Collins (2015-17) for eighth
• After tying her personal single-season career high with four goals in 2023, Lopez has led the team in points twice in the last three seasons (10 in 2021 and eight in 2023)

NO QUIT IN MANDAQUIT
• Freshman defender Jaety Mandaquit has been a mainstay in the Hornets' lineup in 2024, standing as one of five field players overall -- and the only underclassman -- to start all 11 matches this season
• Mandaquit has played 899 out of a possible 990 minutes -- the second-most minutes by a freshman in the Big Sky Conference this year behind only Eastern Washington's Iris Mattern, who has played in 996 minutes for the Eagles

LATE MATCH MAGIC
• Of the Hornets' seven goals scored, three of those have come in the final 10 minutes of a match -- including one in the final two minutes and another in the last 60 seconds of play
• All three of those goals have accounted for either the game-tying or game-winning scores
• Aside from Abigail Lopez's late-match heroics against CSUN (game-winner with 9:28 left) and Cal State Bakersfield (game-tying goal with :39 remaining), Ellie Farber's goal with 1:39 remaining tied the match against UC Santa Barbara on Aug. 22
• Lopez's goal with 39 seconds left was the eighth-latest goal scored in regulation in school history and the latest since Lopez scored the game-tying goal with 52 seconds remaining at Northern Colorado on Sept. 24 of last year

LOPEZ AMONG THE BEST IN THE BIG SKY
• The senior enters the week ranking third in overall shot attempts (30), second in shots per game (2.73), tied for seventh in shots on goal (11), seventh in shots on goal per game (1.00), and tied for 10th in goals scored (2).

WHEN IT'S GOTTA BE CLEAN
• Palmatier's shutout in the team's 1-0 win over CSUN on Sept. 12 was the sixth of her career, moving her into a tie for ninth on the all-time list along with Mia Shalit (2021-23) for ninth
• She trails both Jenny Lawrence (2005-08) and Amy Seely (2000-02) by two for the No. 7 spot on the school's career list, while four more clean sheets this year will make Palmatier only the seventh Hornet keeper to reach double digits in the category

IZZY DOES IT
• Palmatier enters the week leading the Big Sky in overall saves (56) and third in saves per game (5.09), while also standing sixth in save percentage (.757), seventh in goals against (1.64)
• Three of her top five single-match save totals have all come this year
• A career-high 11 saves came in a scoreless draw against Cal Poly on Aug. 29, followed by a 10-save match against Oregon on Sept. 8 -- her second and third career contests with double-digit stops
• The 11 saves against the Mustangs were just one shy of breaking onto the program's all-time single-match top 10 list and were the most since Mia Shalit finished with the same number against Northern Arizona on Oct. 21, 2022
• The 11 stops are also tied for the most in a match by a Big Sky keeper as of Sept. 23, matched only by Montana's Bayliss Flynn on Sept. 8 at Wyoming, while Palmatier's 10 saves against Oregon are tied for third
