NOAH TAKACS SIGNED BY PITTSBURGH PIRATES

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Sacramento State pitcher Noah Takacs signed a free agent contract with the Pittsburgh Pirates, it was announced today. Takacs continues a streak in which the Hornets have a had a player drafted or signed by a Major League Baseball club for 17 consecutive seasons.

Takacs was effective in an abbreviated 2023 season which saw him go 2-0 with a 3.00 ERA in three starts before being sidelined by an injury. The Victoria, British Columbia, native struck out 17 while allowing only three walks and six hits in 15 innings of work. He held opponents to a paltry .122 batting average in those games.
