MEN'S BASKETBALL'S GAME AT OREGON STATE CANCELED

SACRAMENTO – Sacramento State's game at Oregon State, scheduled for this afternoon, is being canceled due to COVID related issues within the Beavers' program.

The game has been scheduled on three separate occasions (Dec. 11, Dec. 28, Jan. 3), and each time the game has not taken place. Oregon State's COVID issues canceled the Dec. 11 game and today's contest, while the severe storm in the Pacific Northwest thwarted Sacramento State's travel plans for the Dec. 28 contest.

Most likely, the two teams will not attempt to play the game for a fourth time.

Sacramento State has now seen two road opponents cancel on the day of game because of COVID issues (Dec. 19 at UC Riverside), and the Hornets have played just twice in the last 31 days.

Sacramento State does have two games scheduled in the next seven days, including Jan. 8 at Northern Colorado, and Jan. 10 at Northern Arizona.
