Box Score SACRAMENTO, Calif. - The Sacramento State women's soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision to Weber State on Friday afternoon in a Big Sky Conference game at Hornet Field.
The Hornets (5-6-4, 3-2-2 Big Sky) entered the game on a four-match conference unbeaten streak but couldn't break through for a score against the Wildcats (6-9, 4-2) in their first conference home loss of the season.
For Weber State, Ari Aki scored in the first half on a long blast to the far post from 25 yards out and Felecia Sortor scored less than three minutes after halftime off a short cross into the box from Abbey Kennedy.
Sacramento State had a 16-11 edge on shots but the Wildcats put six on frame compared to five for the Hornets. Sacramento State also had a slim 4-3 advantage on corner kicks.
Weber State goalkeeper Ryann Waldman earned the clean sheet win with five saves. Sacramento State keeper Shelby Tomasello made four saves while allowing both goals. The Hornets' two Big Sky losses this season - at Northern Colorado and on Friday at home versus Weber State - have come by 2-0 final scores.

It will be the final home game this seaosn for Sacramento State and the careers of the Hornets' seven seniors - Megan Burg, Jordan Carlberg, Jessica Castaño, Christina Gomez, Elece McBride, Victoria Ramirez and Shelby Tomasello - will be recognized before the 1 p.m. kickoff.
