Zach Potter

Zach Potter was named the inaugural general manager for Sacramento State football in January of 2025.

Potter came to the Hornets after being a part of three championships teams with the Birmingham Stallions. Potter was the team's GM for a pair of USFL titles in 2022 and 2023 and then built the Stallions for a UFL championship in 2024. After beginning as an assistant scouting director with the team, Potter was elevated to director of player personnel three months later. Following six months in that position, he was named the team's general manager where he worked closely with head coach Skip Holtz.

Potter began his career in football as a video assistant at Nebraska during the 2020 season. He transitioned into a personnel assistant with The Spring League in 2021 before joining the staff at Iowa Western CC  for the fall of 2021 as the director of scouting.

Potter earned his bachelor's degree from Nebraska in sports media and communication in 2025.
