Robbie Bell was named the tight ends coach at Sacramento State in December of 2024.

Bell comes to the Hornets after being an offensive line quality control coach at Georgia Tech in 2024. The Yellow Jackets went 7-6 during the season, including a berth in the Birmingham Bowl. The team's season was highlighted by a pair of wins over ranked opponents, caped by a 28-23 victory over then-#4 Miami late in the year. 

Bell also served as quality control coach at Eastern Kentucky during the 2022 season. That team went 7-5 overall and qualified for the first round of the NCAA FCS Playoffs. The Colonels averaged 36.2 points and 452.5 offensive yards per game.

As a player, Bell competed at Lousville where he was a multi-year starter. After redshirting as a true freshman, he started all 13 games in 2017 for a team which ranked third in the NCAA FBS in offense. After being limited to just one game in 2018, he returned to start all 13 games at right guard in 2019. 

Bell graduated from Louisville with a degree in political science.
