Jarrett Jordan serves as the Director of High School Relations for Sacramento State football. He joined the Hornets in March 2026 as a recruiting analyst and later moved into his current role.
As Director of High School Relations, Jordan strengthens Sacramento State’s ties with high school football programs and serves as a direct link between high school coaches and the Hornet football staff. His role includes relationship-building, recruiting support, prospect evaluation, and consistent communication with high school programs throughout the region.
Jordan brings more than 15 years of experience in coaching, scouting, player development, recruiting support, and football operations. His background lets him approach high school relations from multiple perspectives—as a former high school and junior college coach, talent evaluator, and recruiting analyst.
Before joining Sacramento State, Jordan coached tight ends at West Park High School in Roseville, where he supported position development, film study, practice planning, game preparation, and passing-game strategy.
Jordan spent several seasons at Sierra College in Rocklin, Calif.. He began as an assistant quarterbacks coach before serving as passing game co-coordinator and working with the quarterbacks and running backs. His responsibilities also included offensive game planning, scout-team operations, Hudl film management, prospective student-athlete evaluation, recruiting database management, academic progress monitoring, and performance analytics used to track player development.
During his time at Sierra, Jordan coached Ryan Graham, who earned CCCAA All-America honors before continuing his career at Arkansas State, and Calvin Robinson, who earned NorCal all-conference recognition. His coaching résumé also includes several all-state, all-area, and collegiate-bound players from earlier stops.
Jordan began his coaching career in 2009 at West Side Leadership Academy in Gary, Ind., where he coached running backs and wide receivers before becoming offensive coordinator and running backs coach. He later joined Merrillville High School, coaching wide receivers before serving as passing game coordinator, and also coached wide receivers at Andrean High School.
His offenses at West Side and Merrillville set school passing records during his time there.
His Northern California football experience also includes serving as offensive coordinator for TMP Elite 7-on-7, where he installed the offensive system, directed player development, designed practice plans, and handled play-calling. Jordan has also worked in football operations with the USA Football Development Game and in facility operations with Kohl’s Kicking Academy.
In addition to his coaching experience, Jordan has an extensive background in scouting and talent evaluation. In 2019, he participated in the East-West Shrine Bowl as a scout through Sports Management Worldwide, evaluating collegiate prospects through film study and live practice observation and producing professional-style scouting reports.
Jordan also worked as a talent evaluator with Xtra Scouts, where his work included athletic testing, body measurements, movement evaluation, film analysis, and athlete database management with performance metrics and video.
Jordan earned a bachelor of science in business with a concentration in financial information Systems from Indiana University in 2014. He also earned certificates in Football Scout Apprenticeship and Football General Management through Sports Management Worldwide and completed the Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate.
A native of Gary, Ind., Jordan and his wife, Tamica, reside in Roseville. He is the father of four children: J’Lynne, Ava, Jarrett Jr., and Nicholas.
