Jake Vang was named the edge rushers coach at Sacramento State in January of 2025.
Vang came to the Hornets after three seasons on Jay Norvell's Colorado State staff. Vang began his tenure with the Rams as a defensive quality control coach before being elevated to defensive analyst.
Prior to Colorado State, Vang spend two seasons at Michigan State as a defensive intern. Vang arrived in East Lansing in 2020 after spending seven years working for the Kansas State football program, including three years as a defensive graduate assistant (2017-19) and four years as a student assistant (2013-16).
Vang earned his bachelor’s in mechanical engineering from KSU in 2017 with a minor in leadership studies.
