Sacramento State

Dominque Harrison started at Sacramento State in the spring of 2026 as a defensive quality control coach with who will work with the team’s corrnerbacks.

Harrison came to the Hornets from Hastings College in Nebraska where he was the defensive backs coach and head JV coach during the 2025 season. During that season, he coached two defensive backs to all-conference honors and helped the team to a three-win improvement from the previous season.

From 2023-24, Harrison was the defensive backs coach at San Joaquin Delta College in Stockton, Calif. He mentored four players who transfered to four-year schools.

Harrison spent the previous four years as a high school coach beginning at Jefferson HS in Portland, Ore., from 2019-20. While there, he helped the team to a league title in 2019 and coached the Gatorade State Player of the Year. Harrison spent the 2021 season as the defensive backs coach at Mountain House HS. The following year, he moved to Merrill F. West HS in Tracy, Calif., as the assistant head coach and defensive backs coach. 

Harrison began his collegiate playing career at Contra Costa JC where he was named a first team All-American in 2013 and was the Defensive Player of the Year. He transfered to Oregon in 2014 and was part of a Ducks squad which won the Pac-12 and the Rose Bowl before falling in the national championship game. The following year he transfered to Western Oregon where he helped the Wolves to the 2016 GNAC title.

He graduated from Western Oregon with a bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary studies. He and his wife, Aysia, have three children: Majors, Coze and Honey.
