2012 Season
Appeared in 42 games, including 38 starts at shortstop…established herself as one of the best defensive shortstops in school history, committing just three errors in 152 total chances, good for a .980 fielding percentage…that fielding percentage established the school record for shortstops (min. 100 total chances)…hit .185 (17-92) with two doubles and a team-high seven sacrifices…was 5-for-6 in stolen base attempts…improved her batting average to .250 (12-48) against conference competition…had three different errorless streaks of at least eight games long…started all 19 conference contests at shortstop…finished her career with a .975 fielding percentage and 13 stolen bases in 16 attempts…named to the PCSC’s Commissioner’s Honor Roll for the second straight year.

2011 Season
Appeared in 35 games, including 26 starts at shortstop…committed just four errors in 112 chances, good for a .964 fielding percentage…stole a team-best seven bases in eight attempts…also had nine sacrifices, which were the second best mark on the team…scored 16 runs which were the third most on the team despite not playing in nine games…hit .173 overall, but improved that mark to .277 against conference competition…midway through the season, Abelia switched from being a right-handed hitter to a left-handed slap hitter…in the 15 games she batted from the left side, Abelia hit .289 (13-45) with 11 runs and five stolen bases…in her final two games of the season against CSU Bakersfield, Abelia went 5-for-6 with four runs, two stolen bases and an RBI...named to the PCSC’s Commissioner’s Honor Roll.

2010 Season
Appeared in 26 of the team’s first 27 games, including 17 starts at shortstop and eight starts at second base…broke her hand after getting hit by a pitch against Utah State on March 20, and missed the final 27 games of the season with the injury…hit .320 (24-75) with nine runs, two doubles, a triple and three RBIs…committed just two errors in 95 total chances (.979 fielding percentage)…had five sacrifices…had a pair of five-game hitting streaks.

Prior to Sacramento State
Spent her freshman season (2009) at Sonoma State where she started games at shortstop, second base and left field (primarily shortstop)…helped the Seawolves to a 36-25 overall record as well as an appearance in the NCAA Regionals…played in 57 games (50 starts), and finished second in the California Collegiate Athletic Association with 30 stolen bases…hit .253 overall, including .327 with runners in scoring position…led the team with nine sacrifices.

High School
A 2008 graduate of Franklin High School in Elk Grove, Calif…played four years of softball, two seasons of volleyball and one year of basketball…in softball, she was a four-time first team all-Delta Valley League selection, including the league MVP and Franklin’s Athlete of the Year in 2008…a three-time all-Metro selection, she was a four-year starter for the varsity squad and helped lead Franklin to a Sac-Joaquin Section championship in 2006 and consecutive Delta Valley League titles in 2006 and 2007…carried a 4.0 grade point average all four years of high school, and was named to the Principal’s Honor Roll every term.

Personal
Parents are Gabriel and Sally Abelia…a business administration major who graduated in May of 2012…played ASA softball for the California Flames of Elk Grove…two of her teammates with that team included current Hornets Alyssa Nakken and Kelly Shepard.
