Biography

2024 Season
An honorable mention all-Big Sky Conference selection…played in all 48 games, including 47 starts (46 in right field, one in center field)…a team captain…hit .296 (47-for-159) with 30 runs scored, nine walks, 20 stolen bases and a .333 on-base percentage…the 30 runs were second most on the Hornets…led the Big Sky with 20 stolen bases, and went 20-for-21 in stolen base attempts…the 20 bags are the Sacramento State Div. I era single-season record, and her 43 career stolen bases are also a Sacramento State Div. I era record…had a team-high 10-game hitting streak from March 15-April 12…reached base safely in 14 straight games, also a team best…named the Big Sky Player of the Week on March 18…third on the team with 13 multiple-hit games, including five games with three hits…hit in the Hornets’ leadoff spot in the batting order all 47 of her starts…finished career playing in 146 games, including 111 starts…hit .273 for her career with 69 runs scored…a Big Sky all-academic selection for the fourth time.

2023 Season
Played in 33 games, including two starts (one in center field, one in left field)…entered a team-best 28 games as a pinch runner, scoring on 12 of those occasions…was a perfect 5-for-5 in stolen base attempts…scored in each of her final three games of the season, including both games during the Big Sky Tournament…scored a total of 14 runs, seventh most on the team…a Big Sky all-academic selection.

2022 Season
Suffered a season-ending foot injury during the first game of the year making a play against the wall vs. San Jose State…started that game, and was 1-for-2 with a double and run scored…an NFCA Scholar-Athlete selection for the second straight season.

2021 Season

Played in 38 games, including 36 starts…26 of those starts came in right field, 10 in left field…hit .229, but raised her average to .314 against Big Sky opposition…scored 10 runs and stole seven bases…committed just one error all season in the outfield…hit safely in six of the final seven games of the season, including a 2-for-3 performance vs. Montana at the Big Sky Tournament…in a three-game series vs. Northern Colorado, Hanson was 6-for-11 with a pair of stolen bases…a Big Sky all-academic selection…also an NFCA Scholar-Athlete.

2020 Season

Played in 26 games, including 25 starts as a freshman…22 starts came in left field, and three in right field…hit .294 (25-for-85) with 14 runs scored and was 11-for-13 in stolen base attempts…named Big Sky Player of the Week on Feb. 24…among Big Sky leaders, she ranked first in stolen bases, and seventh in both hits and runs…went 4-for-5 against Army with two RBIs…the four hits tied for the most in a single game in the program’s Div. I era…had a six-game hitting streak from Feb. 8-15…had six multiple-hit games…hit safely in 16 games…hit .368 with runners in scoring position, and .400 with two outs…a Big Sky all-academic selection.

High School

A 2019 graduate of Redmond High School in Redmond, Wash…played four years of varsity softball and three years of varsity basketball for the Mustangs…over her final three seasons with the softball team, she helped Redmond to three KingCo League championships, a combined record of 73-10 overall and 42-1 in league…that included a 2017 state championship and top 20 rankings in the state all three years…a two-time second team all-state selection (2019, 2018) and three-time all-KingCo League choice…named first team all-league in 2018 and 2019, and second team in 2017…hit better than .500 during each of her final three seasons…as a junior, she batted .589 and had a 17-game hitting streak…hit .507 as a sophomore and .528 as a senior…during her final two seasons, she combined to hit .548 with a .605 on-base percentage, 1.244 ops and 32 stolen bases in 33 attempts…member of the National Honors Society all four years of high school.

Personal
Parents are Kevin and Jenay Hanson…a biology major who graduated in the spring of 2024…played for America’s Team in 2015 and traveled to Spain with other high school athletes to play a series of games…played travel ball for the Washington Ladyhawks of Puyallup, Wash.
