Biography

As a senior (2022): A team co-captain…was the primary coxswain for the varsity eight…coxed the Hornets’ top boat in seven of the nine spring races…that included each of the final six races of the year…coxed the varsity eight to a gold medal at the WIRA Championship, and a bronze medal at the San Diego Crew Classic…the WIRA gold was the first for the Hornets’ varsity eight since 2010…also coxed the second varsity eight and varsity four on one occasion…an American Athletic Conference all-academic selection for the fourth straight year.

As a junior (2021):
Named the Hornets’ most inspirational rower…served as coxswain for three different boats during the spring…coxed the second varsity eight on three occasions, and once each with the varsity four and second varsity four…coxed the second varsity eight to a bronze medal at the American Athletic Conference Championship…also coxed the second varsity eight to wins over #20 USC and Gonzaga at the Dexter Lake Invitational…that win over USC was the first in program history for the 2V8 over a ranked opponent…coxed the varsity four in a win over Saint Mary’s, and the second varsity four at the Sacramento State Invitational…an American Athletic Conference All-Academic selection…also recipient of the National Scholar Athlete Award, given by the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) for academic excellence.

As a sophomore (2020):
Competed in the Hornets’ lone spring regatta against Kansas State before the season was cut short…sat at coxswain with the varsity four in that race…an American Athletic Conference All-Academic selection…also recipient of the National Scholar Athlete Award, given by the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) for academic excellence.

As a freshman (2019):
Spent time at coxswain with the novice eight, third varsity eight and novice four during the spring…primarily coxed the novice eight where she guided the boat in six races…that included coxing the novice eight to a gold medal at the WIRA Championship, the boat’s second gold at the event in school history and first since 2005…was coxswain in one race for both the third varsity eight and the novice four…an American Athletic Conference All-Academic selection.

Personal: A communication studies major who graduated from Sacramento State in the spring of 2022.
