Biography

As a senior (2015): Sat at stroke with the varsity eight during the first six races of the season despite battling injuries…after missing two regattas because of the injuries, she came back during the final weekend of the season to stroke the second varsity eight to a bronze medal at the American Athletic Conference Championship…recipient of CRCA Scholar-Athlete honors for the third straight year, recognizing rowing student-athletes with a 3.5 or higher cumulative grade point average…one of seven rowers in school history to receive the honor three times during their careers…was a finalist for Sacramento State’s Senior Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year award…competed with the varsity eight or second varsity eight each of her final three years with the program.

As a junior (2014):
A second team all-WIRA selection after competing with both the varsity eight and second varsity eight during the spring season…with the varsity eight, she sat at four on three occasions, and once at seven…competed in six races with the JV8, three times at six and three times at stroke…sat at four with the varsity eight during the boat’s final three races against UC Davis and at the Conference USA Championships…recipient of CRCA National Scholar-Athlete honors, which recognizes rowing student-athletes with a 3.5 or higher cumulative grade point average…also named to Conference USA’s Honor Roll.

As a sophomore (2013):
Competed with the varsity eight in all 11 spring races, and helped the boat to an 8-5 dual-meet record…sat in the six seat with the varsity eight on five occasions, the five seat four times, and twice in the seven seat…finished the season in the six seat…one of six Hornets to receive the National Scholar-Athlete Award.

As a freshman (2012): Competed for four different boats during the spring…those included the novice eight, varsity four, third varsity four and novice four…competed with the novice eight in every spring race, sitting in the seven seat (four times), six seat (three times) and stroke seat (twice)…helped the novice eight to a 9-6 dual meet record, and a bronze medal at the WIRA Championships…stroked the novice four to a bronze medal at the season-ending Pacific Coast Rowing Championships.

Personal: A communication studies major…graduated from Sacramento State in the spring of 2015…has a personal-best time of 7:19.6 on the 2,000-meter ergometer test.
