Biography

As a senior (2016): One of four team captains…battled injury throughout the season, but did compete in two races with both the second varsity eight and second varsity four…sat in the seven seat with the second varsity eight in two races at the San Diego Crew Classic…sat in the three seat in both races with the second varsity four, which included winning a silver medal with the boat at the American Athletic Conference Championship.

As a junior (2015):
Competed with the both the varsity eight and second varsity eight during the spring season…did not miss a race during the season…sat at bow with the varsity eight during the boat’s first six races of the spring…finished the year by sitting in the seven seat with the second varsity eight in each of the boat’s final five races…sat in the seven seat with the second varsity eight that won silver at the WIRA Championship, and bronze at the American Athletic Conference Championship.

As a sophomore (2014):
Competed with the second varsity eight in all 11 spring races, rowing in the seven seat on eight occasions and the bow seat on three occasions…sat in the seven seat with the JV8 when the boat won the WIRA Championships…that boat was named the Conference USA Boat of the Week after posting one of the fastest JV8 times in school history (6:53.10)…named to Conference USA’s Honor Roll for maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better.

As a freshman (2013):
Competed with both the novice eight and varsity four during the spring…sat in the bow seat in all five of the varsity four’s races…in six races with the novice eight, she sat at bow three times, the three seat on two occasions, and the seven seat once.

High School: A 2012 graduate of San Gorgonio High School in San Bernardino, Calif…a four-year varsity member of the volleyball, basketball, and track and field teams for the Spartans…was a two-time San Andreas League Athlete of the Year in track and field…a member of the 2009 San Andreas League championship track and field team…ran the first leg of the 4x400 relay team which won the 2010 league title…ran the 100 meter hurdles in 16.4 seconds, and the 400 meters in 59.5 seconds.

Personal: Parents are Bruce and Lisa…a sociology major.
